Meals and Drinks
You can find following
restaurants and bars in Fihalhohi:
Palm Groove restaurant
This is the main restaurant where you can have breakfast, lunch and
dinner. The meals are served buffet-style. The restaurant is located on
the left side of the lounge and the Fishermen’s bar. You can reach the
restaurant both from outside and through the lounge along the indoor games
area and the souvenir shop.
The first time you make use
of the restaurant a table will be assigned to you. You waiter remains the
same during your holiday. There are tables for two and for four persons,
and when you are with a group, the tables will be joined. During the main
season the restaurant might be completely full. This may well mean that if
you are dining with only one other person, you will have to share your
table with another couple. It is common practice to give your waiter a tip
at the end of the week or at the end of your holiday. Contact your tour
operator for an appropriate tip estimate.
The meals are varied and there is a choice for
everyone:
Fish, chicken, beef, various kinds of rice, potatoes, pastas, sandwiches
(toasted if you like), crepes, soup, curry dishes, various sandwich
fillings, vegetables and fruit and various oriental dishes. Thematic
events, such as Mexican, Egyptian, Malaysian and Thai evenings, are
organised regularly. Tea and coffee are always included. For drinking
water, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks you will have to pay.
The times of opening are:
Breakfast: 07.30 - 09.30
Lunch: 12.30 - 14.00
Dinner: 19.30 - 21.30
Fishermen's bar/Coral
Cove snack bar.
Immediately left from the Lounge you find the Fishermen’s bar and the
Coral Gove snack bar. During the afternoon or in the evening you can be
served a range of exotic drinks and snacks. Every evening the staff
organises special events for the guests, like karaoke, disco, bingo, films
and live music. Be surprised by the creativity of the staff.
Surf Cafe/Blue Lagoon Bar.
Both are located on the West Side of the island, near the water sports
centre. This is an excellent spot to watch and enjoy the sunset.
If you did not book full or half board, you can buy snacks or have your
dinner here. Instead of your dinner at the Palm Groove restaurant, you can
enjoy a barbecue meal here by candlelight (additional payment, please book
in advance)
Tip:
If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle, take a walk to the Blue Lagoon
bar for a romantic time together, over a glass of exotic drink (you will
have to overlook the white, synthetic chairs). There is no music
whatsoever.
